Twin Stroller With Car Seats

twin stroller with car seats
Where can I find a twin stroller with twin car seats – another words, strooler with car seat comb for twins?

twin stroller that has twin car seats in one

For our twin girls we used the Graco Duoglider
http://www.gracobaby.com/products/subcategory.asp?N=44+10417+54&act=A20

While the twins are small enought the Graco infant carrier/carseats lock right into the stroller. Once they’ve outgrown the infant carrier/carseats, then the stroller functions just fine as a toddler stroller.

Stroller Toy Bar

Help picking out stroller toys?

I am getting a jogging stroller soon and want some toys to occupy my 8 month old daughter… any suggestions?

Are there some toys that your kids seem particularly fond of? Some of the toy bars seem really fun, but they don’t mention fitting on a stroller, just a car seat.

Thanks!!!

Bob Jogging Stroller Double

Will I need a double stroller for a 4year old and newborn?

We are planning on walking (45 min) to and from preschool and walking/jogging a lot on the beach, so it would be nice to have a seat in case his legs get tired. He will be 4 when the new baby is born. I do like the phil and teds, but I’m thinking that 4 is too old? What would you suggest?

Thank you!

I had a phil and teds and loved it, but my kids were closer together. If your son is small for his age, then it could be fine, but I find the legroom on it wasn’t great for the older child. It’s also great for manuvering through malls and urban areas, but not so much for off-trail (wheels are too small/no suspension) or running (the lower seat interferes with your stride).

For the walks to and from preschool, a sit-and-stand one is great. It really depends on how much your little guy is used to walking. When my son was three, he hiked Sentinal Dome in Yosemite with us and had no problem. At 4, he wouldn’t have wanted a stroller to go to preschool. Is there a place he could chain a little bike at the preschool or does he like riding a scooter? At three, my daughter whines to be carried from the car to the mall door. If I were to have another child I can guarentee that she would want to ride in a stroller. So, part of it is just knowing your son and how much help he’s going to need.

I have a double schwinn running stroller that I love and still use for my 3 and 5 year old when I’m out for a 4 mile run (any more than that and it’s too much to push and any less and I usually have them ride their bike/trike along with me). If you can find a Bob on craigslist, then I’d recommend it, but I couldn’t afford it personally. For whether you really need the huge double jogger, it depends on how much you really want to run on the beach for your own exercise and how much of it is that you plan to take your son for walks on the beach and don’t mind stopping to look at shells, throw sticks, and build sandcastles. 😉

Best Doll Stroller For Toddler?

My daughter birthday is coming up and I need to get her a good doll stroller. My price limit is $80 and it needs to be similar to an adult stroller. Big points if it has a cup holder and swivel wheels.

you can get a good one for $10. put the remainder of the money into her college account.

kolcraft stroller

I am having twins .we are looking for a stroller.any one help me?

we like
Kolcraft Contours Options Tandem II Stroller, Tangerine
by Kolcraft .is this a good choice? because we need the stroller from newborn to toddler.,and compatable with all car seats.

any suggestions?one more thing we can’t afford above 300$

I don’t have twins, but I have two small children. We bought just a double strolled for our girls, that came with matching car seats. However, as they got older we realized that they only needed the car seats in the seats until they were about 6 months old. We could just lay them down in the stroller, without having to take the car seat out of the stroller.

So, we bought something like this:
http://www.google.com/products/catalog?hl=en&q=double+stroller&wrapid=tlif12859831736372&um=1&ie=UTF-8&cid=4375457763701325512&ei=1IumTIiIN4ufnAfA6r2RAQ&sa=X&oi=product_catalog_result&ct=result&resnum=3&ved=0CFQQ8wIwAg#

It didn’t cost us more then $150.00, we are a military family and wanted to make sure it was comfortable. Make sure that to seats on your stroller will fold down for when they are sleepy. They can go through doors easily, and that you don’t NEED the car seat to come out of the car for the newborns. (This is a serious hassle)

Maclaren Stroller Double Stroller

maclaren stroller double stroller

need advice on double strollers?

have a 2.5 yr old tall daughter 38 inches, a new baby on the way looking for a stylish stoller for two that is east to run errands with any thoughts on the ones below? I would like it to be compatible with peg perego infant seat or suitable to hold infants

Maclaren Techno twin
tike tech cityx3 double
baby jogger city mini

You might rethink a double stroller for this age gap, you will likely only use it for a short time and really it is much easier (and better for baby) to wear the baby and use the stroller for your older child. By the time the baby is ready to go in the stroller much, your older child will likely prefer to walk.

The baby jogger city mini is nice and fairly narrow for a double. Really easy to push. But really, any double is going to be big and difficult to fit through narrow store aisles. You might check out the Phil and Ted’s strollers, they are a larger single that can be converted to a double with an extra seat either in the “basket” area or on top.

Doll Stroller

doll stroller

doll stroller

Can some one tell me the name of a childrens book?

I know that it is about a momma frog or toad and her baby, who is very unrully, and a Mrs Silver Fox tell her that she needs to have a good child like the one sitting by a tree that happens to be a doll. So frog/toad tries to take the doll home but cant get it into the stroller so she just takes the head of the doll and her real child some how ends up in the doll’s head because she put it on top of it.
Does this story ring any bell with anyone?

Maybe “Eulalie and the Hopping Head” by David Small?

Hope this helps!

whats the difference between a full stroller and a travel system stroller?

i’m looking at the strollers in the babies r us website and i can’t help but notice they have 3 different kinds of strollers. the jogging stroller is easy enough to figure out but i can’t seem to tell the difference between the full strollers and the travel system strollers. whats the difference?

Travel system is a infant car seat/carrier and stroller. A plain stroller will not have an attachable infant car seat. You need to decide which way you will go. You can do a travel system or you can do a stroller and convertible car seat (one that is rated for 5lbs and over) It’s just personal preference.

How to go jogging in the winter with a baby?

I bought a travel system and of course we don’t use the car seat anymore but is it fine to use the regular stroller to go jogging with or do I have to get one of those pricey jogging strollers?
I am running on a flat road with a few curves ( no cars ) Also what are some tips on keeping baby warm? She won’t wear a hat so that’s not an option thank god she has tons of hair! I have a stroller blanket that can be used for strollers or car seats so I can use that and gloves and the obvious make sure whole body is covered with something but what else can I do for her to make sure she is warm? She is a year old and I don’t have a sitter to leave her with while I run. I am on a tight budget so I can’t afford the gym or a treadmill and please no rude comments. Also she is 16 months old.

Layer her clothing and use a weather shield. If you only have a standard single seat stroller you can pick a weather shield up for $10 from major discount department stores.

You might know a weather shield as a rain cover, they’re usually made of clear plastic and it will trap heat in the stroller, if you pop a hot water bottle in the seat a 10 minutes before your jog and remove it as you put your daughter in it should stay toasty warm for her.

If you can afford it, a sheepskin liner for the stroller would also be a godsend for keeping her toasty.

Can you recomend a good pushchair for a one year old? UK?

My baby is one this week…we bought a whole system when she was born which was ok…but the pushchair bit is far too bulky and heavy and the brake is awful…I want a really nice…lightweight buggy which will last till she is around 3….I don’t want to buy anymore..my first daughter went through 3 . I like modern designs…or very pretty ones…what do you think?
Thanks so much Atlas….but like my title says…I am in the UK

Aha! I can answer this one! I did tons of stroller research and I found the perfect one! It’s the Valco Latitude. It is a 3 wheeler but not a jogger and it is only 17 lbs (most of the others are almost twice as heavy!) It folds very small and is super light. The front wheel swivels or locks out. It has a nice, roomy cargo basket underneath which is very sturdy and holds a ton of stuff. It comes with the attachment straps to add the carseat when baby is a newborn (which you won’t need if your baby is already 1) but for the older babies the seat is super adjustable. Baby can sit almost completely upright to see the world or even lie completely flat for naps. It has a nice big canopy for sun shade and even comes with the wind/rain cover and cold weather boot included! All the other strollers I looked at that were in the same category ended up being much more expensive because the accessories are sold separately. I paid almost $300 for the whole thing and it was worth ever penny! It is able to be used up till 50 lbs too! So you should never have to buy another one down the road. Also I like to travel a lot and its super light for getting in and out of the trunk or on and off the plane etc. My daughter, Avary, and I (she’s 10 1/2 months old now) flew from CT to Hawaii -with multiple stops – for the first two weeks of Feb and it worked out great! Everyone was commenting on how cool it was. It even has a telescoping handle so if you are on the tall side it’s still very comfortable to push. Very maneuverable, smart design, looks great! I can’t say enough good about it! Check it out online at: http://www.babystrollershop.com/valco_latitude_single.htm
or right on the Valco website at http://valcobaby.com/products/strollers.html?tx_productcatalog_pi1%5Buid%5D=5
Hope this helps you! Cheers!

I want to get the bugaboo bee stroller for my 4 month….?

baby girl. Just wanted to know if this is a good buy. Also the bee does not come with the bassinet, I don’t really need one do I? Right now her stroller is the one that attaches to the car seat. Is the bugaboo a good stoller for a 4 month old?

http://www.babyandmeboutique.com/products/bugaboo/bee.htm

That is a ridiculousy crazy price, Have you looked into a Peg Perego Pliko P3,
I two had a travel system with the spot for the carseat and hated it, I went online and found this one and OMG its the best stroller ever, I got it when my daughter was about 4 months old too and my 6 yr old nephew sat in it being silly and he could sit comfortably in it even at that age!

Here’s a link of the one i got:
http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2963509

But they have all kinds of differant colors and if you look around you can get it cheaper! I snagged mine at allbebaby.com for 200.00 bucks NEW!

Sorry I cant tell you much about the one you posted since i have never tried it. Good luck finding one though!

stroller attachment for standing

Need a travel stroller for 40lb+ child?

We need a lightweigh stroller that folds compactly for my 4 1/2 year old. We’re about to go on vacation and we plan on doing a ton of walking. We have a huge jogging stroller that we take with us on longer walking trips around here, but we’ll be getting on a plane and really need something that is smaller, but still comfortable for him. Please don’t respond that he should be walking at this age…I’ve seen that response to similar questions. We’re talking about walking around for hours each day, not just a stroll around the neighborhood. I’ve send these stand-up attachments for older kids where they can stand or sit (but those attach to strollers). Anything like that as a stand-alone? Any ideas? Thanks!

The Peg Perego Aria carries up to 45 lbs.

Car Seat & Stroller Question?

I intended to buy a carseat & stroller for my son. Last time I bought a Infant Maxi Cosi carseat but it’s kind of huge for my 1998 Honda accord and it’s expensive [$150] so I returned it. I need advice on carseat & stroller with reasonal price. Anyone has good advice about it?
My son is 17 days old. By the way, I want to look for carseat & stroller infant until certain age. Most of the carseat I saw at babiesrus they’re from newborn up to 12 months only. I want the long term one cuz I can’t afford to buy a new one once he grows

You can save money by getting a Snap and Go stroller frame – an infant car seat snaps into it — instead of a separate stroller. http://www.amazon.com/Baby-Trend-1305-Snap-n-Go-Stroller/dp/B000BMKEVC
The Graco Safe Seat goes up to 30 pounds, which is higher than most other infant seats.

stroller for triplets?

I have triplets 2 boys and a girl just wondering if there are any other moms out there that would recommend a stroller for them..whether it be a triplet or double and single..which brand do you buy?
I would like something that is all terrain because where I live I don’t have sidewalks by my house.

Thanks

I would go with a triple stacker or 3 in a front to back row it would be easier to get in and out of door ways.

Stroller Quinny Buzz 3

stroller quinny buzz 3
I’m interested in purchasing a stroller that’s a 3 in 1 travel system like the Quinny Buzz.?

I intend to purchase the infant car seat (maxi cosi mico) that’s compatible with the Quinny Buzz, but do not want to purchase the bassinet. Question is do I really need to purchase the additional bassinet for my newborn or can I just use the infant car seat even though it doesn’t recline fully. I know newborns need to stay fully reclined for the first several months. But just want to know if the infant car seat can replace the bassinet.

If, I understand you correctly, you are buying the travel system, but not the bassinet. Since the car seat attaches to the system, an infant is fine in it.
Just use the Cozi Dozi infant insert that appears to come with it or buy a separate one to keep the baby’s head from flopping to the side too much.
The car seat should recline enough (45 degrees) in the cart, just like it should in the car.
Actually, newborns don’t have to stay FULLY reclined, just mostly. The double stroller I used didn’t fully recline in the front seat, and infants weren’t supposed to be in it, not because of the position, but because of the possibility they’d slip out through the leg holes.
I’ve seen many of these systems (other brands) with the car seat attached, so I don’t believe there’s a problem.

Stroller Carrier Combo

stroller carrier combo

Which is best?

I am having a baby in July. The question is which kind of stroller to get. I want something lightweight but durable enough to use for a long time, even into the toddler years. I was told the travel system(carrier and stroller combo) was too heavy and I wouldn’t use it. That the umbrella stroller was the way to go since it’s lighter. But I’m afraid that it won’t be an option for my newborn since they dont recline enough for the infant. I don’t want to have to buy two seperate strollers, please help!

P.S. Another pro of the travel system is that if baby is sleeping I wouldn’t have to wake them to run into the strore.

Go for the TRAVEL SYSTEM.. The stroller i have is the best. It’s Evenflo Aura Elite Travel System. I have a ton of friends with babies and my car seat is the easiest to use and the stroller is more durable. The stroller is has a handle for one hand driving. I have a small car(ford focus) and i can fit two strollers in the trunk with a little monovering, so the stroller isn’t overly big when it’s folded. I don’t know what i would have done if i didn’t get that one.. TAKE MY ADVICE get this one!!! Also the handle for the car seat goes in like a Z at the top and instead of holding it with my hand, which is sooo hard because the baby gets heavy and you kinda swing them back and forth, i put it on my fore arm with my arm bent(kinda like flexing your arm in front of you) it is sooo much easier. I still carry my baby like that and she is 20 pounds. With the other car seats that don’t do that you can’t carry it that way..
Hope this helps.. Good luck..

stroller sit and stand

Do you think a 2 yr old is too young to use a sit n stand stroller?

I have a 2 yr old and a 2 month old. The two yr old just turned 2. I am worried he may run off if he has the option, but double strollers are so big and I only have a mid sized trunk so the compactness of them really appeals to me.

No, he’s not too young. And better yet, for just a bit more you can get the Double Sit N Stand stroller with a (easily removable) full seat for your toddler. And, you have the option to put the baby carrier in the front or back seat.

For when the kids are older, you’ll appreciate that the back seat sits up a bit higher so the tot in back can see, and both kids get a snack tray and cup holder.

I believe the Double Sit N Stand also has the same small footprint of the regular Sit N Stand.

also– anyone know how much a full set of new wheels is.??

I would try www.craigslist.org or Freecycle for a free new stroller. There are lots of lovely people out there, who update what they have and/or give away very useable items that they are no longer using. Trying to get replacement parts direct from Maclaren is quite difficult. Try contacting the store you bought it from or any store that stocks Maclaren. I’m sure they will be able to order the parts in for you.
