Strollers Suggestions?

I am looking for a new stroller that reclines, is nicely padded, fairly lightweight, has a wide enough wheel base that I don’t kick the wheels while walking and tall enough handles that I don’t have to bend over. Anyone own these strollers and what do you think:

We own the Zapp and love it, but it does not recline, so you can cross it off your list.

It is fabulously lightweight, and my 6′1 husband is comfortable pushing it. But we really chose it because it folds up to almost nothing, and we don’t have a ton of storage space.

I need stroller advice help?

I have a one year old and I’m three months pregnant. I have a travel system stroller currently but it’s getting to heavy and bulky for me to life out of my car everytime I want to go somewhere. I have an umbrella too for walks to the park and it’s great for that but for going to the mall it sucks. There is no space to put my purse, cup or any shopping bags. I need a different stroller but don’t want to spend a ton since I have to get a double here soon. So do you know of any that are light, fold up easy, have a basket, cup holder, and bar that goes across instead of just handles? Links would be great. Thanks. Oh and it has to be cheap.
Our mall has bulky shopping carts with cars attached to the front and I’ve heard they are a pain. I work at the mall and have seen people with them and they are really hard to get around the racks plus I want one for other places too like when I go downtown and look at all the different little shops.

baby bags and snowsuits classic or mod?

classic Baby clothing and outerwear, and accesories are taking a move toward a sleeker style, with an urban feel. I’m 25 and LOVE the more classic style of the puffy powder blue diaper bags with lots of compartments and puffy snowsuits embroidered with snowflakes and classic strollers. i own 2 maclarens… i bought them because it was semi-cute and very popular… but i regret it. the $200+ dollars your going to pay will never be worth it.

1. the rain cover: theres only one type for it; the maclaren rain cover. no other will fit. my daughter broke hers 2 times and 2 times i had to find it online because i couldn’t find it in any stores.

*Are Sprays Better than Lotions?

The ingredients are always the primary consideration when purchasing sun protection. After that decision has been made, choose whatever works best for your kids. Be sure to pay extra attention to sensitive areas like the nose, ears, and previously unexposed skin.

*Be Wary When Changing Brands

Try a new sun product on a small area of sensitive skin to see if it causes a rash. A small patch on an inside upper arm works well. If no rash develops, you can usually assume that it is safe to apply to the rest of your child’s body.

*Don’t Trust Cloud Cover

A cloudy sky does not mean that it’s safe to spend hours outdoors without sun protection. UVA and UVB rays bounce around in the air from water molecule to water molecule until they penetrate the cloud cover. The concentration of sunlight is reduced - but the harmful rays are still there.

*The Sun Doesn’t Care About the Equal Rights Amendment

Fair skinned, blonde girls are more likely to suffer from the ill effects of sun exposure than are darker skinned or black boys. Parents of all children should be vigilant, however. Even dark-skinned children will be adversely affected by good ol’ Sol.

*Global Warming Increases the Risk

Unless everyone develops (and sticks to) a rigid sun protection program, global warming (accompanied by lighter clothing) will cause more sun damage every year.

at what age did your little one stop using their stroller?

i currently have a chicco trevi which is ok i guess, could definitely use some improvement though. Anyway i recently saw the i’coo stroller and i fell in love, but my hubby says that we don’t need it since my baby is 18 months old and soon she’ll be out of the stroller anyway. Which i guess he could be correct but i’m not too sure. I mean she still uses her stroller a lot and she likes to always take naps when we go out so i just want to know if it’s worth it to buy a new stroller. I mean i want to get a lot of use out of it, but she is already 18 months so i don’t know…help?

Trust me! As the father of a 3 1/2 year old, the stroller soon becomes more for you than your child.

We are very active and frequently take our daughter to events that require a lot of walking. Our daughter is great at the beginning but when she gets tired, having a stroller handy is much better than carrying her for the rest of the time we are out.

Get a small “umbrella” style. No need to spend much money. Skip the big expensive strollers.
